On 25 March 2021, the video platform ‘Vimeo’ deleted OVALmedia's new documentary film "CORONA.FILM - Prologue" without warning. The film, which is considered by leading epidemiologists to be one of the best cinematic reappraisals of the current corona crisis, is thus no longer available to many paying customers. It remains an open question whether the film was deleted despite its previous success, or precisely because of it. What is certain is that more than 100 videos from OVALmedia have also been taken off the internet along with it. The entire Vimeo channel, which OVALmedia has been operating for 10 years, was also shut down without warning.

In the face of this unprecedented attack on the existence of our company, we have decided to act. Today, the film "CORONA.FILM - Prologue" is made available on various free and independent platforms. Instead of asking for a small contribution by means of a paywall, we are now asking viewers directly for voluntary financial support. This is the only way we can recoup the costs of making the film and, above all, continue to work on the cinematic review of the Corona crisis.

It also discourages wearing masks (51:00).

2. https://vimeo.com/478828327 [see deleted film: Sitzung 27: Ein Rundumschlag] - “Sitzung 27: Ein Rundumschlag” - This makes claims that the coronavirus pandemic is an attempt to “fool people” (12:40), that the “coronavirus is not killing people,” that the goal of the PCR test is to “keep people fearful with masks and on lockdown” (13:42), the idea that lockdowns are based on fallacious conclusions (1:04:00), and that “detection of [COVID-19] infection by [the] PCR test is a false statement” (1:05:53).

3. https://vimeo.com/507137123 [see deleted film: OVALexclusive : Urgent Message from Prof. Sucharit Bhakdi] - “(ENG) OVALexclusive : Urgent Message from Prof. Sucharit Bhakdi” - In the video, Bhakdi explicitly states that the vaccination protocol is “criminal” (05:40). He makes the following claims:
The vaccine poses a far greater risk to older people than the virus (07:05).
The current vaccine distribution is “harmful and is an experiment performed on humans” (05:45).
Elderly people in nursing homes die because of the vaccine, not because of the virus (08-06 - 09:50).

4. https://vimeo.com/480754720 [see deleted film: The Wild Sheep: Show #1 - Official Stream!] - “The Wild Sheep: Program #1 - This episode uses the example of professional football players, who allegedly did not become severely ill after contracting the virus, to downplay the danger of the pandemic (04:50), and the reliability of the PCR test:

5. https://vimeo.com/489859408 [see deleted film: The Wild Sheep: Show #2 - Official Stream!] - “The Wild Sheep: Show #2 - English” - In this video the coronavirus is described as “relatively harmless” (2:45), makes claims that Moderna and Pfizer have manipulated statistics to boost the efficiency rate of the coronavirus vaccine (3:54), and promotes the documentary “Hold Up,” that claims there is a plot behind the pandemic. This episode also claims that using Vitamin D is enough to reduce the risk of mortality from Covid-19 by 89% (7:00).

There are numerous other clear violations in the account that make very similar claims as these examples.

Per our Terms of Service:

If you breach this Agreement, Vimeo may, at its option: (a) terminate this Agreement immediately, with or without advance written notice; (b) suspend, delete, or limit access to your account or any content within it; and (c) to the extent permitted by applicable law, retain any amounts payable to you (which you forfeit). If Vimeo deletes your account for breach, you may not re-register.

As this is our final decision in this matter, we will be unable to respond further. We wish you the best of luck finding a platform better suited to your needs.

I think that this decision is categorically misguided. At no point have we ever insinuated that the Corona crisis is a hoax, in fact, our documentary specifically deals with the facts surrounding the crisis, and the effects that the last 2 years have had on people around the world.

Claims to offer cures or remedies (until such time as these are proven)- This is nowhere to be found in our channel, nor in our recently uploaded content.

*

Offers detection or prevention methods that are not recommended by the CDC or WHO- We have never attempted to offer any 'alternative' measures, whether against guidelines or not.

*

Solely aims to incite fear or panic- This again, is categorically not our aim. We seek to offer hope and information to allow people to rise above the fear that comes with ignorance.

*

Makes derogatory remarks about specific groups of people- Never have we, nor would we ever seek to make derogatory remarks about anyone.

*

Claims that the virus is a hoax or promotes various other conspiracy theories around the virus.- This point suggests to me the most that you have not watched the content that has been removed, nor have you investigated to any extent into our channel. We promote no theories of any kind, we specifically and ONLY present the opinions and beliefs of medical and scientific professionals.

In any case, these reasons that are put forward in defense of deleting our channel have absolutely no regard to the rest of our content on the channel. I cannot fathom why the whole channel has been deleted if these are the reasons given and upheld. I would be grateful if you could explain the reasoning behind the decision to remove the whole channel.

Our research is backed up by facts, and we speak to medical professionals around the world to discuss the measures put in place in the fight against corona. To suggest that our content contains ‘false or misleading claims’ goes completely against our ethos and journalistic intent, as does the insinuation that our content has ‘serious potential to cause public harm’. In fact, we see it as our duty to provide the public with the facts so that they may inform themselves about a serious issue that impacts us all.

Furthermore, as we have never received any strikes or complaints from Vimeo before, the deletion of our channel seems a rather harsh punishment for a perceived first-time offence.
