Today, the Sun, appearing to travel along the ecliptic, reaches the point
where it crosses the equator into the southern celestial hemisphere.
Today day and night are of equal length.
Today rat haus reality completes its 28th circle ’round the Sun and begins its 29th cycle. Gratitude abounds for the ratical venue from which to present materials worthy of note and emphasis.
Today’s 28-year mark inspired composing Antidote to the Hubris of Greed While Living Under Domination - Seeing the Maximum Security Establishment Denial System, an accounting of censored and suppresed truths far too many people have witnessed and gone through since 2020. The essay’s lead-off contrasts the shift over the past 5+ decades of sterilizing the fourth estate into a lock-step vassal of corporate empire state hegemony.
Fifty-four years ago, seeing, calling out, and mocking evil was front-and-center. In the 1970s, I’ll always remember a black-and-white magazine photo of a U.S. GI sitting in a jungle with the caption, “Why die for a piece of junk?” The double entendre of heroin and bankrupt U.S. policy was standard fare in journalism.
Since then, the steady erosion of a virile fourth estate, challenging the increasing reach of corporate state influence and power, has impoverished every facet of society.Investigative reporter Paul Thacker’s 7 July article, “We must reform the law to force corporate documents into the public,” provided the hook for the way into this accounting. He publishes his independent analysis in The Disinformation Chronicle, SPECULORUM DESERTO (Desert of Mirrors), “dedicated to helping the world understand scientific disinformation” and “assisted by several of the smartest people in journalism and the nonprofit world.”
Tuning in to such genuine, trustworthy reporting on and intelligent analysis of the state of our world is possible, however what corporate state press and so-called alternative media now produce is akin to what in the past was termed the tabloid press.
John Judge spoke about the glove coming off the iron fist and how the attacks of September 2001 forced a magnitude shift of the global paradigm into the nightmare path of endless war. A heretofore unimaginable nightmare today is the naked crushing and extinguishment of anything diverging from official dogma, spewed by so-called official bodies of authority working inside corporations, government, media, and academia.
I began to sense faintly that secrecy is the keystone of all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy ... censorship. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, “This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,” the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything—you can’t conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.
The counterweight to this fabricated swill are legions of souls operating in their respective divine capacities as independent agents and government watchdogs honoring and serving Life’s needs on Mother Earth. Along with Paul Thacker, the analysis and insights of some of our sisters and brothers, exercising their birthright intelligence with clarity and coherence, are cited: Richard Grossman; Ed Dowd, Yuri Nunes, and Carlos Alegria, founders of Phinance Technologies; Sasha Latypova and Katherine Watt; David Hughes; Graeme MacQueen; Jim Douglass; Martin Schotz; Vera Sharav; Warner Mendenhall; Paul Virilio; James Baldwin; Steven Newcomb; David Graeber and David Wengrow; John Trudell; and David Bohm.
The intentional, man-made darkness blanketing our world is extremely disturbing and effectively numbs heart-minds of so many souls. The antidote to this numbing energy can be engaged to plumb the depths and understand how this world we belong to by right of birth actually operates. In the essay, Jim Douglass’ essential insight concerning choosing to go into the darkness is evermore germane than when he spoke the words in 2008:
It’s that everything [in the Cold War in 1962-1963] was totally out of control and then, through a kind of incredible process where these two men were communicating secretly with each other over the year previous [Sep 1962-63], and smuggling letters back and forth to each other, in the midst of this conflict, they were beginning to trust each other.... It’s a remarkable process. And it’s all beneath the surface. But so are all the things that count as Merton understood.... And that’s why I have some hopes that if we are willing to go deeply enough into the darkness – and Kennedy was, and Khrushchev was – anything can happen for the good. But if we don’t go into the darkness it doesn’t happen. [emphasis added]
Recognizing the intelligence we have been given by our Creator and using it as clearly and coherently as we possibly can is the antidote to the entire techno-logic perceptional reality that is based upon death. The eventual, inevitable outcome of such reality is oblivion and annihilation. It is our responsibility to see and acknowledge this and then act upon this understanding.
The souls highlighted in this accounting are celebrated for their dedication of bearing witness to and following the polestar of historical truth as it emits a light and illuminates the way we can all likewise be guided by. And in doing so, we can join in the sacred work of supporting the exquisite eons of life exploring itself on Earth for the seventh generation yet unborn and beyond.
