Congresswoman McKinney Saddened Over Senator Coverdell's Death

July 19, 2000

Washington, DC - Congresswoman McKinney expressed sadness over the death of Senator Paul Coverdell. "Today, I am heartbroken to learn that one of my fellow colleagues Paul Coverdell suddenly has passed away," McKinney stated.

"Paul's love for Georgia will be deeply missed," McKinney stated. "Paul, was the example of a true gentleman. My prayers go out to Mrs. Coverdell and her family and to the constituents of Georgia for this loss."

Senator Coverdell and Congresswoman McKinney were both elected to the Congress in 1992 and have worked closely on many issues to build a better Georgia.
