March 27, 2000
DECATUR--Congresswoman Cynthia
McKinney (D-GA) held "Meet and Greet" sessions during the months
of February and March with constituents of the Fourth Congressional
District. The one on one sessions took place in Chamblee, Doraville,
Lithonia, Norcross, Stone Mountain, Clarkston and Decatur. These
sessions gave constituents an opportunity to speak directly with
the Congresswoman on issues they were concerned about.
"My ability to represent the interests
of constituents in the Fourth Congressional District depends on
the willingness to share ideals and viewpoints," stated McKinney.
Health care for the elderly and children, education, environment,
transportation and economic development tops the list of issues
the constituents discussed with Congresswoman McKinney.
"Constituents in the Fourth Congressional
District have a sense of community to address those critical issues
so that others might also be better served," concluded McKinney.
