rat haus reality is an organization dedicated to providing an ever-expanding collection of critically essential, relevant, and significant writings, and beautiful, arresting images articulating alternative approaches of manifesting and nurturing a sustainable, life-affirming world for all Gaia's children. Our purpose is also to produce educational reference materials that bear witness to the life disintegrating dimensions of our man-made koyaanisqatsi. rathaus is the german word for city hall. Here the sense of city as community is blended with library, a gathering place where people can explore and illuminate the space we all share and live within.

As exemplars of living, breathing liberty, the Hau de no sau nee -- along with providing the United States "founding fathers" and the United Nations with significant inspiration for the foundations of those group's experiments with democratic principles -- also gave us the guiding wisdom of making all decisions based upon what impact will carrying out the decision we are now deliberating upon have on the seventh generation of our children yet unborn? Such intelligence reminds us of our forebearers intuitive and instinctual wisdom for supporting life in all its exquisitely wondrous beauty and variation.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, `Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make and to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
